Grandmom’s Awesome Fudge

This is a recipe I got from my grandmother that she used to make for us as kids. One piece is enough to give you diabetes, but it’s sooo good.

  • 5 cups sugar
  • Dash salt
  • 2 sticks butter (not margarine)
  • 1 can carnation evaporated milk (large)
  • 18 oz Hershey’s milk chocolate
  • 1 jar marshmallow creme
  • 2 tsp vanilla (real, not fake)

Bring sugar, salt, butter and milk to a full boil, continuously stirring.

Boil for 8 minutes (do not start the timer until full boil is reached, or you will end up with gritty nasty fudge; trust me on this).

Remove from heat, and add remaining ingredients, stirring until completely smooth.

Pour into greased pans.

Cool.
