I got to meet her, and she's a real sweetheart. And man can she sing! I'm hoping she'll put out a recording of some sort.
If you want a really good resource for Amy Jo, try The Amy Jo Johnson Net, maintained by Tribal Prophet.
This message is for Saban or any of his goon-squad lawyers that want to sue me. Instead of sending me a generic letter telling me that I am infringing some right that you have, send me a detailed description of exactly what is and what is not legal to have on my pages and I will gladly comply. I will not remove everything from my pages. If you think that a particular part of my page is an infringement, I want a detailed description of what exactly makes that part illegal. If it is justified, I will remove it. I certainly don't want to make you lose a few cents somewhere along the way because I had a picture on my page.
Here is my initial reaction to the letter I got from Saban, Inc. It was the text that was displayed before I put these pages back online:
Well, Saban has sent his goons after me concerning these pages, so I
had to take them down so I don't get sued. I just put the pages up as a
tribute to a beautiful talented actress, not to make any profit of any
kind, but Saban is worried that he might lose a few dollars in some way,
so he had his lawyers send me a nasty-gram telling me to remove the pages,
so, they are here-by removed. As soon as I can get to a scanner, I'll put
the letter on line so you can see it, unless that's going to get me sued,
too.
(Of course, the amount of money spent on the lawyer fees and the shipping
of the letter (Fed-EX overnight) probably cost more than the money he lost
by my pages being on the net). Seems to me that they would want
the free advertisement.
Now that I have had some time to deal with this, I think I will get in touch with Saban and ask them to tell me exactly what is and is not an infringement. Hell, if they're going to make me take it down, then at least I'll make them have to put some effort into it. I don't want to infringe on their copyrights, but I'm sure it's not all illegal, so they can tell me what's what.
In the meantime, I encourage you not to support any of Saban's projects. Everything I've seen come from him is tinged with greed. The videos of the show you can buy come with one episode per tape, and that's recorded on the slow speed and he still charges $20. And now that Amy Jo Johnson has left, I have no reason to support him anyway. You can keep your pictures, Saban. You're not worth it. I'll find pictures that you have no hold on. If I can just get one or two people to boycott your products, then you've lost more money that you would have without threatening to sue me and leaving the pictures online. Hell you could have just asked nicely. I certainly am making or losing any money either way.
